Kite Surfing Lord Howe Island
Lord Howe Island is one of the best destinations for kite surfing as it has so much variety to offer. Through summer we get a lot of easterly and north-easterly winds which offer great offshore wave conditions on the reef and beach breaks. These winds also provide offshore flat water conditions inside the lagoon. Lord Howe Island’s winter conditions are the most consistent, with wind speeds ranging between 20-35 knots. Throughout winter the island gets a lot of south west and westerly winds which also offer great wave conditions and smooth flat water conditions inside the reef.

If you are a beginner or want to give kite surfing a go for the first time, we offer lessons with an instructor and a support vessel. There are some excellent areas to ease yourself into it or if you are a more advanced kiteboarder we can guide you to the right spot with local knowledge and experience.
